Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, GMC Foundation will be gathered to express their gratitude — by celebrating “ThanksGIVING” in Eastern Cape with the less privilaged members of the community on the 6th of November 2016.
"It has been a tough year for us" says Busi, who is one of the GMC Foundation founders " We are partnering with Mlomowezulu to give out food and donations in cash and in kind to those who cannot afford to buy themselves food in the neighbouring communities of King William's Town." The GMC Foundation was founded by a small group of young ladies all born and bred in Eastern Cape , South Africa with a vision to change the poor communities, the disadvantaged members of the South African communities. "...because if we can Change South Africa , then we can bring change to the whole African continent with the help of our government and donors at large, we are also inviting all members of the community who are in a position to help , size does not matter, what matters is your heart."
When asked the meaning of GMC, they said "GMC stands for Givers Multipurpose Centre, we did not want any limitations, if we see a need in the community we want to be the first to bring a solution.
GMC Foundation is fully committed to helping the Eastern Cape community to grow and there seems to be a great commitment from within the founders of the organization in fighting the unemployment virus that has taken over South Africans. GMC Foundation says that they are looking to employ over 70 volunteers and turn them into staff before or the end of 2017. GMC Foundation has acquired land to start training new and young farmers together as one of the initiatives of job creation in the Eastern Cape, so if you might be interested in giving to the community, then this may be one of the organizations to look out for.
